Y algo de gouache de nuevo. Es fantástico cómo trataba las texturas. Se puede sentir la piel de los guantes, muy diferentes de la piel del personaje, o del resto de ropas o de cualquier otro objeto del cuadro.
En este apunte del Felipe IV de Velázquez buscaba aprender un poco de cómo trataba los tonos contra otros tonos: claro contra oscuro, oscuro sobre oscuro, claro sobre claro y oscuro contra claro. Es el mejor en este aspecto. Incluso mejor (si éso es posible) que el famoso molino de Rembrandt que es un clásico de esta técnica: cada pala del molino está en un tono contra otro.
